Must Selig take action in the Bonds' allegations? Should he appoint a special committee to investigate Bonds' alleged steroid use? Can he ignore the scope of the so-called steroid era that hangs over baseball? If he were to punish Bonds would this open a Pandora's batter's box? What happens if he does nothing? The fans will render their verdict regardless of what the Commissioner does. If Bonds's treatment last week in spring-training is an indication-loud boos and verbal taunts from the stands-that judgment may be very harsh. Just think all this Barry Bonds stuff along with World Baseball Classic defeat, baseball and Selig may be in for a long summer.

Forget Bonds in this equation, Selig should be shot for dropping the ball along time ago. Its crap that Bonds gets singled out, there should have been drug testing as early as the late 80s. Baseball knew dudes were using roids and turned the other cheek and really turned the other cheek when McGwire and Sosa were knocking the cover off the ball. Yes Bonds is a complex person and the person that everyone hates(he picked his war with the media 20 years ago when he was skinny) but Selig and even Fay Vincent are ones to blame. Im going to miss Tagliabue at least he had some common sense as a commissioner.

A Calf judge just ruled against the injunction that Bonds' lawyer had filed. I say better late then never.
